Registration

Registration for the 2024 Season will open on March 1st, 2024

Registration opens March 1st and will close on July 1st, 2024
Due to a large influx of players last year, spots will be limited for our football squads
Please do not hold spots for players who are undecided. Priority will be given to kids paid in full

FOOTBALL REGISTRATION

2024 Haddam Killingworth Youth Football

There are four (4) divisions of participation. The divisions are GRADE BASED (not age). Please note, there will be weigh-ins prior to each game.

A SQUAD - 7th & 8th Grade: Unlimited Weight - All position players (Max weight 196lbs) - 197lbs or more invokes the Halo Rule – A player will be able to play on the offensive and defensive line only between tackles. They will not be allowed to touch the ball on the offensive side. If a player on the defensive side of the ball recovers a fumble the player is allowed to advance the ball. Halo players are not allowed to play kickoff or kick return on special teams.

B SQUAD - 5th & 6th Grade: Max Weight: 161lbs

C SQUAD - 3rd & 4th Grade: Max Weight: 135lbs

D SQUAD (Mighty Mights) - 1st - 2nd Grade: Max Weight: 115lbs

A player that meets the criteria below, may at his/her option, choose to play down one squad.

Ages below are based on CTYFL playing ages.

a. 7th grade AND less than 106 pounds may play on 'B' squad.

b. 5th grade AND less than 85 pounds may play on 'C' squad.

c. 3rd grade AND less than 65 pounds may play on the 'MM' squad.

Note: Below are mandatory for all candidates prior to their first practice session each season. We will be collecting copies of these documents starting the first day of preseason.

1. Current year CTYFL parental consent or League Athletics parental consent form signed by a parent guardian.

2. Current year CTYFL Doctor's Statement signed by physician or nurse practitioner, clearing the child for participation in contact sports/ football.

3. A copy of player's birth certificate.

4. Report card (1st – 8th Grade)

a. Proof of Town Residence

b. Proof of Grade to be entering All "A" Squad players must submit a copy of their 4th term report card, or other form of proof such as letter from their school indicating their grade information and that they will not be in HS during the playing year.
